覃章才教授先后工作于普渡大学、美国能源部阿贡国家实验室和中山大学,长期从事能源、自然、温室气体排放和碳中和等方面的交叉学科研究。所主持和参与开发的多款经济、能源、环境生态系统模型得到学术界、工业界和政府部门的广泛应用。主编和参编美国地球物理学会及美国能源部书籍三部,发表一系列学术论文。曾兼任美国能源部 SULI项目导师,美国地球物理学会书籍主编,以及NSF、NBB和 CRC等机构特邀研讨专家,并长期为学界、工业及政府部门提供科技咨询。担任国际期刊Global Change Biology Bioenergy编委、Agronomy Journal 副编、以及50余国际机构和学术期刊的评审专家(DOE, USDA, EPA, NSFC; Wiley, Springer; ACP, AFM, AGEE, ERL, EST, GCB, RSER, Nature系列等 )。

Dr. Zhangcai Qin is a professor in the School of Atmospheric Sciences at the Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), specializing in global environmental change with a focus on the energy-food-environment nexus. His research explores the complex interactions among the atmosphere, ecosphere and human dimensions. Currently the Q lab is actively seeking energy- and nature-based climate solutions for regional and global carbon neutrality. Before joining SYSU, Dr. Q worked as PI and co-I on multiple projects at DOE Argonne National Laboratory (by UChicago). He has served as a panelist on NSF, NBB and CRC panel boards, as well as a mentor for the DOE SULI program. Dr. Q is a frequent consultant to academia, industry, and government agencies. He holds editorial roles as a member of the editorial advisory board for Global Change Biology Bioenergy, an Associate Editor for Agronomy Journal, and a referee for over 50 international journals. He was the Lead Editor of the AGU book "Bioenergy and Land Use Change", and a contributor to two other books by AGU and DOE.
