研究兴趣:生态气象、气候变化、碳中和、自然气候方案、能源-粮食-生态环境交互效应等。
中山大学教授、博导,国家青年人才,曾任职美国普渡大学和阿贡国家实验室。长期致力于生态气象、气候变化与碳中和等交叉学科研究,重点探究基于能源和自然的气候变化解决方案。主持开发BEE、LUCE等多款能源-自然-排放-经济多维度模型,有力支撑我国和全球碳核算研究工作。近年来聚焦自然气候方案(NCS)、土地利用变化、新能源(如BECCS)与温室气体和大气污染物排放等研究,成果散见于科学通报、Global Change Biology、Environmental Science & Technology、Nature Climate Change、Science等学术期刊和专业杂志。主编/参编中文教材1部、英文专著/教材3部,主讲气候变化与碳中和本科生及研究生课程。长期为学界、工业及政府部门提供科技服务,任Global Change Biology Bioenergy、Journal of Plant Ecology等国际期刊编委,以及50余国际机构和学术期刊的评审专家。

Dr. Zhangcai Qin is currently a professor in the School of Atmospheric Sciences at Sun Yat-sen University, specializing in global environmental change with a focus on the energy-food-environment nexus. His research explores the complex interactions among the atmosphere, ecosphere and human dimensions. Currently the Q lab is actively seeking energy- and nature-based climate solutions for regional and global carbon neutrality. Before joining SYSU, Dr. Q worked as a PI and co-I on multiple projects at Argonne National Laboratory (by UChicago). He has served as Deputy Director at Future Earth Global Secretariat Hub China and as a panelist on NSF, NBB, and CRC panel boards, as well as a mentor for the DOE SULI program. Dr. Q is a frequent consultant to academia, industry, and government agencies. He holds editorial roles as a member of the editorial advisory board for Global Change Biology Bioenergy, an Associate Editor for Agronomy Journal and Journal of Plant Ecology, and a referee for over 50 international journals. He was the Lead Editor of the AGU book "Bioenergy and Land Use Change" and a contributor to two other books by AGU and DOE.
