大气重力波是大气动力学里重要的一环。目前,我的工作主要侧重于重力波动力学、重力波参数化的改进、以及重力波在天气气候的重要性。我的研究主要利用了高分辨率的中尺度模式、大涡数值模拟实验、以及飞机卫星等观测资料进一步揭示大气重力波的特征、生成机制、多尺度动力学、参数化方案、及其对天气气候的影响。我在美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学气象系获取博士学位,也曾在德国歌德法兰克福大学从事博士后研究员的工作。2018年9月初,我正式回国工作并加入中山大学大气科学学院的强大的团队。欢迎有兴趣从事大气动力学的同学和学者加入我的科研团队!

Gravity wave plays an important role in atmosphere dynamics. I collaborate with scientists across different disciplines to achieve a better understanding of the physics and dynamics of gravity waves, their representation and parameterization in future prediction systems, and their role in weather and climate. Through utilizing high-resolution mesoscale simulations, large eddy simulations, and observational data, I work on characterizing the sources, dynamics, impacts, and parameterizations of atmospheric gravity waves. I had completed a Ph.D. in meteorology at Penn State in America, before I worked as a postdoctoral scientist at Goethe University of Frankfurt in Germany. Since the beginning of September in 2018, I have been a faculty member at the School of Atmospheric Sciences in Sun Yat-sen University in China. I would welcome the potential collaboration with anyone who is interested in the topic, and discussion will also be cordially welcomed.
