Dr. Yunhua Wu is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor. She received her B.S. (Geology, National Training Base for Geosciences) and M.S. in Geology from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and her Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Her research lies at planetary geology and geochemistry, analyzing meteorites and returned lunar samples. She applies integrated petrological, mineralogical, and isotopic geochemical techniques to address fundamental questions about basaltic magmatism, shock metamorphism, chronology, and crust-mantle differentiation on planetary bodies. She has led research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Provincial Basic and Applied Basic Research Fund, and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
