Hao Yongqiang, Bachelor of Geophysics from Peking University and Ph.D. from the School of Earth and Space Sciences at Peking University. Currently, he is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Atmospheric Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University. His main research interests include ionospheric physics, ionospheric detection, space weather, and space environment. His research directions cover ionospheric detection technology, short-term and long-term variations in the ionosphere, energy coupling processes and mechanisms in near-Earth space, etc. He has led 3 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and published over 70 SCI papers in these research areas. He undertook the development task of the Ionospheric HF Doppler Monitor for the national major scientific and technological infrastructure project "Meridian Project," establishing ionospheric monitoring networks in Heilongjiang Mohe, Beijing, Hubei, Guangdong, and other locations.
