The Department of Space and Planetary Sciences at the School of Atmospheric Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University, is seeking outstanding young talents in the fields of planetary science and deep space exploration for tenure-track positions, including Assistant Professor and Associate Professor roles. The Department of Space and Planetary Sciences offers Master’s and PhD programs in Space Physics and welcomes applications from students with backgrounds in Earth Sciences, Astronomy, Physics, Aerospace, and related fields.

The department is actively engaged in public outreach, featuring a Deep Space Experience Center open to faculty, staff, and students within and outside the university. It also organizes regular science popularization lectures, summer activities, and field excursions, while actively participating in science communication and education initiatives.
