Prof. Tielong Zhang visited Sun Yat-sen University

On March 9, 2022, Prof. Tielong Zhang, a renowned Chinese scholar in space science, paid an exchange visit to the Department of Space and Planetary Sciences, School of Atmospheric Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University. During the visit, Prof. Tielong Zhang gave a presentation on the topic of microsatellite detection of the lunar magnetic field. Tielong Zhang is a professor at the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), a “Master Chair” professor at University of Science and Technology of China, a Changjiang Chaired Professor, a recipient of the “Overseas Distinguished Young Scholar” , a distinguished Professor of National Thousand Talents Program, a member of the International Academy of Astronautics, and a tenured senior researcher at the Space Research Institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. His main research interests include deep space exploration, magnetic sensors, magnetic payload development, and planetary physics.
