Dr. Yutian Cao went to the UK for an exchange visit


Dr. Yutian Cao, on a one-year exchange visit to Mullard Space Science Laboratory, University College London, from 2017.3-2018.3. Under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Coates, he is involved in the study of the distribution of Titan's photoelectrons based on the data from the High Energy Electron Spectrometer (HES) survey carried on board the Cassini Huygens probe. The paper Field-aligned Photoelectron Energy Peaks at High Altitude and on the Nightside of Titan based on the work in the UK has been submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research: Planets. Founded in 1862, University College London is the third oldest institution of higher education in England after Oxbridge, and is currently the largest and most comprehensive research university in the UK. Mullard Space Science Laboratory is a space physics laboratory affiliated with University College London. As the leading space physics laboratory in Europe, MSSL has established long-term cooperation with ESA, NASA and has participated in a series of international cooperative space exploration projects such as Cassini Huygens, Mars Express and Venus Express.
